multidisciplinary artist & 3D designer
Slovenia, Helsinki

Hello! This is me and my mask.

Celeste Sanja Smareglia is a multidisciplinary artist and 3D generalist who loves to write. Originally from Slovenia, she now lives in Helsinki. Her practice often centers around themes of corporeality and transience, experimenting with various new and unfamiliar media. With an interest in tools of disobedience, she explores how existing scientific and technological protocols can be reimagined through rituals, fiction and occult world-building practices. Due to her past involvement with bio-hack labs, her work frequently explores the ambiguity of materiality of the body with a post-humanist and feminist perspective. Her work spans across 3D design, electronics, poetry, performance, and bio-materials. She is interested in the blending of witchcraft and direct action in a contemporary setting, and is also fascinated by the concept of dreams as the last unstable, uncapitalizable landscape.
