Website and digital installationBound presents an infinite visual narrative, which is centred around the bounded body of flesh. Different occult objects and mythological elements circle the rotating body, referencing the acts of gathering around bonfires and participating in different ritualistic practices. By combining the 3D designed objects and poetic text, the artist is exploring how the privatization of the body influenced the disappearance of certain ritualistic practices and started to erode the possibilities of bringing people together in the communal setting. Through the research about the historical demonisation of certain rituals and witchcraft, she is reflecting on the nowadays’s importance of coming together in different communities, while at the same time questioning the use of storytelling as a tool for dealing with contemporary issues and frustrations.
